Pediatric cardiology

Pediatric Cardiology welcomes original manuscripts concerning all aspects of heart condition in infants, children, and adolescents, including embryology, anatomy, physiology and pharmacology. Many of the pediatric heart defects like patent blood vessel interruption, vascular ring division, pericardial window, ligation of collateral vessels are repaired using pediatric interventional cardiology. The barriers and challenges to achieving routinely applicable Tissue Engineered and Regenerative Cardiac Surgery Methods also are explored as may be a novel concept for the Cardiac. Alterations in vital sign are common during the perioperative period in infants and youngsters. Perioperative hypertension could also be the results of kidney failure, volume overload, or activation of the sympathetic system nervous. Concerns regarding end-organ effects or postoperative bleeding may mandate regulation of vital sign. During the perioperative period, various pharmacologic agents are used for vital sign control including sodium nitroprusside, nitroglycerin, β-adrenergic antagonists, fenoldopam, and calcium channel antagonists. The subsequent manuscript outlines the commonly used pharmacologic agents for perioperative BP including dosing regimens and adverse effect profiles. Previously published clinical trials are discussed and efficacy within the perioperative period reviewed.
